ABOUT THE PODCAST
The Rhyze Podcast is an inspirational podcast hosted by writer, author, and artist, Naje Aditi Badu (aka Kimberly E. Banks) to highlight both the challenges and the successes of overcoming internal and external forms of oppression. The intention is to bring thought-provoking, educational information about activism to the people in hopes of triggering within each listener the motivation to rise and stand for humanity. Each podcast will vary from book excerpts, essay reading, interviews, or reviews of books about activism, and their authors.
Focus: Then focus of The Rhyze podcast is highlight individuals who have found the courage to be true to who they really are and are standing for a cause much greater than their own existence. We want to address the topic of oppression and how it negatively impacts our daily lives. The Rhyze is a platform through which self-expression and self-determination can move the masses and create the changes we all wish to see in this world. The eradication of subjection starts from within each and every individual, and then translated throughout our varying communities. The Rhyze is our contribution to breaking through barriers associated with gender, class, culture, nation, sexuality, economics, education, and yes, race. Freedom is our mission.
